Your St. Peters Orthodontist
I love seeing the transformation in my patients' smiles and confidence after treatment is complete. They put a lot of work into being a dedicated patient, and the final product is due to the cooperation that they put forth. It's very rewarding.
I grew up right here in the St. Charles County area and have lived here most of my life. I realized that I had a passion for orthodontics by learning from my own orthodontist, Dr. Mark Morrell.
When I graduated from my orthodontic residency, I was fortunate enough to work with him until he retired.
I have been married to my wonderful and supportive wife, Kate, since 2010.
I have two young kids, and when I’m not busy chasing after these adventurous kiddos, I enjoy golf, hiking, and taking the family’s rescue dog, Callie, out on walks.
St. Peters Braces
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They're made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. These brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the positions we want them to be in if you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
St. Peters braces are an excellent choice for correcting complex tooth issues. Because they can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments might, overall treatment time may be slightly reduced. Braces don't need some of the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making Wentzville braces a cost-effective orthodontic option.
St. Peters Invisalign
Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, St. Peters Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and customized to fit snugly over your teeth. In order to keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you'll generally need to switch your invisible trays out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign is at its most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, Invisalign may not be a good option. A free consultation with Humphrey Orthodontics will allow us to determine your Invisalign eligibility.
