St. Peters Braces

St. Peters braces are an excellent choice for correcting complex tooth issues. Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. They're made out of metal or ceramic brackets that are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.

They can sometimes work faster at aligning teeth and closing gaps than other treatments. Plus, they can reduce your overall treatment time. Braces don’t require the more complex technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making them a cost-effective orthodontic option.

Traditional metal braces are among the most efficient orthodontic tools available. They consist of metal or ceramic brackets affixed to the teeth, connected by wires and elastics. These components work together to apply gentle pressure, gradually moving the teeth into the desired positions with regular adjustments by Dr. Humphrey.

St. Peters Invisalign

Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists in St. Peters and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Made of comfortable plastic, these aligners are customized to ease over your teeth.

To keep your teeth moving in the right direction, you’ll need to switch to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Humphrey. Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day for optimal results. Neglecting to wear them as directed can impede progress and extend treatment time.

Invisalign is highly efficient for many common orthodontic issues. However, for complex cases, it may not be suitable. A free consultation with Dr. Humphrey at Humphrey Orthodontics in St. Peters will determine your eligibility for Invisalign. Additionally, Humphrey Orthodontics offers Invisalign Teen, providing the same effective treatment with features tailored for younger patients.
